If you want to have a complete set of garden tools and equipment, then you should be familiar with leaf blowers and leaf vacuums by now. Leaf blowers and leaf vacuums are essential tools one will find very, very useful in the proper care and maintenance of their gardens and lawns. But what exactly are leaf blowers and leaf vacuums? What are the purposes they serve?
Imagine a lawn that is expansive in size. It would be pure torment to sweep every nook and cranny of that expansive lawn, just to sweep off leaves and debris. Worse, leaves are quite hard to sweep when they are on lawns. The grass blades make it difficult to sweep them. It is at this part where the leaf blower enters the picture. Leaf blowers are just about the perfect tools you can use for this endeavor. The typical leaf blower propels or gusts air out by means of a nozzle. With the power source of a 2-cycle engine, or an electric motor, you are able to blow out leaves and debris out of their hiding places. There are different kinds of leaf blowers actually. Some come as mere units to be held by the hand. Now, this leaf blower is practical to use if your lawn or garden is just a small one. But when the lawn in question is huge, then the backpack leaf blower would be more practical. With backpack leaf blowers, you can just direct the nozzle to which ever part of the garden you want, and not worry about carrying the equipment by hand the whole time. And if you’re talking about lawns that are really, really huge, then there’s also the leaf blower on wheels. But this lawn or garden better be really huge, gigantic even, in a sense.
With the leaves in plain sight already, it is now time to use the leaf vacuum. By the name itself, the leaf vacuum is the tool used in collecting the blown leaves. It is actually the tool that finishes the job of the leaf blower. There are a lot of commercial leaf vacuums out in the market today. But if you think about it, it would be better to just purchase a leaf blower that has a leaf vacuum function as well. This would be like hitting two birds with one stone. It would make perfect sense because it’s very practical.
Fortunately, there are leaf blowers that come with vacuums already! Some of these brands include the Stihl leaf blowers and the Echo leaf blowers. Both the Stihl leaf blower and the Echo leaf blower are actually popular in the market today. They have very durable features that are very user-friendly. Best of all, these brands of blowers do not make that much noise when getting the job done. This is a very important aspect to consider because there are a lot of laws reprimanding noise pollution these days. In fact, before you do go out and buy your own blower, you should check your local city hall for city ordinances on noise pollution. This will definitely save a lot of trouble on your part.
Another thing to consider is whether or not you should get gas leaf blowers or electric leaf blowers. The gas leaf blower has an advantage because you wouldn’t have to be hooked to a power supply when working on large pieces of land. But, sad to say, gas leaf blowers tend to make a lot of noise as well.
When you purchase your own blower, it would be best for you to go to the power tool store yourself. Sure, there are indeed reliable power tools you can purchase online. But it would be better if you can sample the tool yourself before you purchase it. This way, you can get assurance for yourself that the power tool you’re buying is indeed in mint condition.
